question, why are you not getting a farther extension, shouldnt your chest be nearly touching the ground with each rep?

Great routine. I did it after my normal run and it almost killed me, and I can normally do 50-55 normal pushups without stopping (normally on my PRT [PFA] I do about 90. Great vid. Navy’s still better though ;-p

When doing pushups,is it a better idea to go down slowly, hold and come up slowly instead of doing then rather quickly? I’m confused as to which is best.

    hello,
    may i ask some question,
if the whole demonstration in the video is a “set”, then how many “sets” should we try each time we do this “Push-up Improvement”??
    thanks!

    kirtbarnes,
Hello. You are correct! It was difficult to film the Diamond grip portion of this program while going low enough for standard and not losing voice and frame quality. Meaning, if training for the APFT/PFA/PFT you need to break the horizontal plane with the upper part of your arms. My demonstration is for training purposes. In order to speak and look into the camera, some repetitions were not low enough for test standards. However, the theory of hand placement strategy still true.

Hi, ive seen in some other work out vids that its better to put your hands into fists as its easier on the wrists. Whats the best way?
